I got a new Performance catalogue in the mail yesterday (2nd this week?) and was flipping through the pages...they have training stuff on sale...there is a set of roller with "80mm rollers for more road like feel"....they want realism, maybe they ought to grind big potholes in them then chip-seal the rollers! (and maybe automate something to toss road kill in front periodically)

Don't laugh. Somewhere around 10 years ago, I saw that someone was selling Mountain Bike rollers. The rollers all had "bumps" on them so that the rider would feel like he was riding off road.

I'm thinking that something can be "New" or "Improved" but not both at the same time.

never gave that any thought but by the strict definition...you are right.

back to the topic...lol... and the chip seal coating will only be temporary, it will fly off and chip the paint and get tar spots on the bike too and if you spring for the deluxe package it will get tar on your jersey too.

having the roller slip sideways and throw you on the ground and then sand your skin off like real gravel does?
