So I entered a fantasy cycling contest, and didn't really pay attention to it afterwards because it felt like my team was getting the crap beat out of it...little did I know that I won the entire thing because of Zabel's win on the final stage and Vino taking the overall...I won a Ridley compact frame! I'm in total shock right now, and can't tell anyone because it's 5 in the morning in my hometown but 11 here. Now I just have to figure out how to size it...don't have much experience in compact frames but I was going to buy one for the upcoming race season. I can't believe this; this just made my year!

Oh the pics will come...the thing that kills me is it'll get shipped to my home address in Michigan, while I am in Spain until December...oh well. It'll make a nice "welcome home" present. I'm just over the moon about this, though.

that's pretty sweeeeet! It's good that you won it as a frame. That way, you can tweek the sizes of your stem/saddle to match your body perfectly.

So are you one of those types who always seems to win every prize and contest or is this a once in a lifetime event? I never win ANYTHING (including my races!)

This is for sure a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I never win anything that I enter, and that's why I didn't really pay attention to the emails I got. I knew I had all four classification jerseys on my team, but I figured someone had bested me. Guess not. I'll certainly take a once-in-a-lifetime event such as this over a bunch of little victories.

And you're right about tweaking it to fit me. It comes with the fork and seatpost, but other than that I'm building it up to suit my preferences. I can't wait.

Awesome! I once won an auction for 32 pouches of individual gatorade packages along with a couple of their 32 oz bottles. Now granted this isn't a Ridley but since I had never won a drawing before I was thirilled!!!!!! I was actually contacted via email but nothing ever got sent so I called and told my story and they got the stuff out to me. The lady just laughed when I told how thrilled I was. Corny. Yeah..but still it was kindof cool. Have fun building it up the Ridley and LET'S GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! dum da domp dum da domp....LET'S GO TIGERS!!!!

My brother and I won all expenses paid trips to last years Pro Bowl because we sent in something from a case of Coors. First relatively big thing anyone in my family has won. Honolulu is crowed and expensive but beautiful.
