I have ZIPP 404 tubbies. I just mounted brand new Vittoria Open Corsa CX tires with Tufo valve extenders.
On my first ride with since mounting the new tires I noticed a clicking sound. At first it sounded like the magnet was hitting the fork mount sensor, but it was not. The wheels have never made the sound before.
Any ideas?

Maybe the valve or extender is kissing the side of the rim enough to cause the noise. I had this once and just moved the stem over a bit....no more noise. Maybe not so easy with a tubular, but I'm sure there's a way.

It was the valve extender.

you can electrical tape the extender or get one of the rubber grommets that goes over it to stop the noise

BikinCO,
Did you resolve your problem? I have the same problem with my Bora Wheels and Tufo valve extenders and I'm tired of the clicking and messing around with the electical tape.

Go to the hardware store and get a rubber o-ring that fits down over the valve extender and push it down until it touches the rim and no more rattle.

Thanks Ligero but I already know that trick too. ...I've done that and it didn't work.
Now I'm trying something like what WW member/Fairwheelbikes owner Madcow has suggested. I'm cutting the electrical tape into 1cm squares and covering the valve hole at the top side of the rim without the valve extender in place. I then puncture the extender through the tape and hole. In my case I need three layers before the extender seems to be locked into place. I'll see if this really works later today when I ride.
I'm trying these next if the latest idea dosn't work: http://www.topeak.com/2007/products/minipumps/prestaextenda.php

Why not just wrap a layer of electircal tape around the valve stem and be done with it? It will do the same thing and put the tape right where you want it.

I've been there and done that as well. Getting precisely the right amount wraps/layers around the extender so that I can still thread it in but stop the movement within the hole is very hit and miss. ...too often it's a miss.

I had a similar problem. I used a small O ring underneith a valve stem nut. Quiet as a dream now. The beauty was that it took less than a minute to do.
