I have been able to download full cross races from the net. I have them in QuickTime form since I can watch them on my Ipod.

There is a huge thread about movies and trading them around. I dont have a dvd burner, but have a cd burner. Each one of these races is about 1 hr long and about 400 mb.

Does anyone know of a site that we can upload them to so the masses can enjoy them? I looked at YouTube and the longest they can be is 10 minutes. It appears that Google Video could work but might be an issue with copyrights.

So I looked at Google's copyright page. The bottom line is that it's against their policy. For violation of non-US copyrights, Google will forward your contact info to the aggrieved party so they can contact you directly. If you're a repeat offender, they'll pull your account.

So go ahead. You ain't gonna get caught and if you do? The original copyright owner will issue a cease and desist and Google will pull the content.

I also notice that you can post "private" video. Perhaps that's the best idea. Then all your pals here at roadbikereview.com can partake. The chance that anyone over at Sporza (or wherever) will ever find out is miniscule. BTW, publishing this content via usenet carries about the same liability as posting to Google Video.

please i would give ANYTHING for you to post to google video, maybe an arm or a kidney?! please please please!

You could also zip them up and upload them to www.megaupload.com or a similar site, so people can easily download them.

And if you don't feel confident uploading them to Google video, send em to me and I'll do it.

I am willing to do about anything to get those onto the net where we can view them! I am dying here.....can you give Google Video a try, or take Gripped up on his offer. I will extend the same offer.

where are you in MST? I am in Boulder, Perhaps we could get to geather and get them on DVD or something.

If they are 400mb each, they will fit on a cd, no need for a dvd burner. If dont' want to do the google thing, I can send you blank cds and a self-return envelope. I'll distribute them to the masses through the new 'tree' we are organizing.

So I am at work and trying to upload some different races to the site. It seems to take them but then just stalls out. As soon as they are up, I will get a link out to everyone.

I tried that myself a few weeks ago, but it got pulled by Google for "violation of terms of use".

what about sharing it on a torrent tracker?? it is easy to upload it on a torrent tracker, and if u seed it good leechers will become seeders and so more and more ppl can download and share it...

what about this idea?? i also posted an other topic about this

I think that is a great idea. You could post on http://www.torrentreactor.net/ or something like that. I download via torrent a bit and it can be a fast download.
