I just went to put on my new zip 808 rear wheel. I was mounting the tire when I hear something rolling around inside. Could this be an internal part to one of my spokes? Should I send it back to the store? Thanks.

If the noise is coming from the hub area, it could be rattling carbon dust caps. It's an easy fix with some super glue or epoxy. Zipp's put detailed instructions on their web site on how to do it.

It is a rattle like a small metal object is moving freely through the wheel. As I turn the wheel in the air, the object is tumbling around (imagine a sock in a dryer). Could this be a part of the spoke nipple? Also, I don't know I would get it out. Thanks.

Yes, could be a spoke nipple that got away during the build. I think the valve hole is the only way out. Curl a slender strip of paper into a half-circle and insert it into the valve hole to catch the nipple as you rotate the wheel. Try to spear it with a square toothpick and get it out. I hope he valve hole is large enough . . .

I expected a lot more from $2000 wheels. I bought them at R&A Cycles about a week ago. I'm hoping they will exchange for me.

A great idea from another poster, why didn't I think of that, dang!
