Already in the development stage we lived up to and exceeded the high expectations and needs of the Saunier Duval Prodir team. For riders like Gilberto Simoni and Leonardo Piepoli it’s indispensable to be able to rely on a light and rigid bike, which is still comfortable and agile in riding.
Two years ago we and our engineers joined together and continued the development of the established CR1 carbon technology. The result was to set yet another milestone in the Scott hi-end bike range. Staying true to the CR1 Innovation and technology became a standard to ensure we would produce the lightest race bike in the world! Thanks to the IMP™ Technology process and disposition of the material our goal could be realised. With this achievement, the best possible result was reached.
The 790 grams frame weight means we offer the lightest bike in the whole Pro Tour world to our team. In partnership with new and existing technical partners the riders and we are sure to have the best available racing machine for the upcoming season.
We are proud to announce that SRAM will be our partner for components such as drive train and brakes on our Addict Team bike. The new FORCE components are exceptionally light, feature advanced materials, superior ergonomics, and an innovative shifting function with a single DoubleTap® lever that controls both up and down shifts.
The Saunier Duval Prodir team will be the first team racing this group-set in the Pro Tour. For more information, please visit: www.sram.com (http://www.sram.com)
Not only the race colours of Mavic will fit the Scott colours in a great way, with Mavic, the team can also count on a very reliable partner with focus on high performance and extremely light weight products. The team will use Ksyrium, Aerolite and Cosmic wheel sets.
For the first time the team bike will be equipped with Hutchinson tires. Hutchinson has proved in the past Tour de France editions that they design winning tires. Same as with our other partners, Scott and Hutchinson will go into a close co-operation for the upcoming years.
No doubt, Ritchey is a valuable asset in regards to quality and performance of components. From the beginning Ritchey was on our team bikes with their WCS components. No matter if carbon fibre handlebars or our new seat clamp of the Addict bikes, Ritchey delivers what our engineers and racers claim: just the best!
