fit in standard road brakes like Shimano 105?
The tires are 30c. The frame and fork have clearance. There is cross race coming around here I thought what the hell! I would rather not use my MTB to get the experience :p.
Here is the tire -

they might...
I don't know about that tire in particular, but I recently tried putting Mud2's on my wife's bike (Giant OCR1, all 105 except for no-name brakes):
Mud2's (30c) fit in the brakes, although you had to deflate the tire to put them in.
Mud2's didn't fit in the frame - not enough chainstay clearance.
Ended up running an old pair of GEAX Blade 29c's
so, if you've got the frame clearance, sounds possible.

Mud2's 30C
Info?
read the archives. There must be at least 200 posts about Mud2's since the start of the cross season alone.

How do they handle non-mud courses?
i cant speak for 30's, but i have the 32's. ive actually never ridden them in mud (only 3 cross races) in a race condition. nor have a ridden any other cross tire
but i can say, that on fast, grassy courses, and loose dirt, gravel, pavement, packed dirt, etc....they work fine. they never held me back any. good grip, control, etc. i really like em thusfar. in the mud (training) they are pretty sweet also.
i am going to try out the schwable's at some point, as it looks like our teamwill be sponsored by them next season

FWIW, I have a brand new pair of Michelin Mud2s. I run them at 58PSI (I'm big) and I find them pretty quick, decently full of air for cushion, and good grip in slop. I would really doubt that you could squeeze them in to a road frame/fork. I have a hell of a time getting them through my avid cantis on my 1" steer tube fork on my cross bike. Good luck.
