Anyone know much about or have an Orbea cross bike? I'd really like one, but after talking to my dealer, I'd probably have to get custom geo, which they do for a small fee, and I can pic the paint scheme.
Anyone with any feed back, I'd greatly appreciate!!:D

I love my orbea road bike, I was going to get the cross but it's a bit out of my budget and the sizing didn't fit me quite right, similar to a pre-2007 redline sizing.

I currently own a road bike but was also thinking of getting a cross bike. My LBS sells Orbea bikes, their '07 catalogue lists the 'Igorre' and the 'mud'. The former comes with several Shimano 105 components with a little Ultegra, whereas the latter has mostly Tiagra.
I'm considering a cross bike because I ride some fairly rough roads and i figure the wider tyres would help reduce flats and improve comfort. I could hopefully also tackle the really bad roads + gravel paths etc. And more powerful brakes can't be bad. I'm not into racing, so reduced speed would not be an issue for me. I just want to maintain a certain level of fitness and enjoy cycling.
Sounds like a cross bike might just be the ticket for you.
I have one and love it, but it's my first cross bike so probably not worth much as an opinion. I bought the frame on e-bay and built it up myself. I recently did a race and a guy who sells Orbeas told me it's a 2002. He beat me on his so obviously the newer models are faster.
