Even Mexico recognizes gay marriage now. So now we've got most of Europe, Canada, and now even the predominately Roman Catholic Mexico saying "si" to gay marriage. Is the US trying to be the last holdout?

We'll have gay marriage after they rip it from our cold dead hands.

I hate to say "I told you so..."
Actually that's not true, I take great pleasure from it.

If you are going to "defend marriage" then banning no-fault divorce is the next logical step. One nation, under God, right?

Love this quote:
Appling said the organization doesn't perceive gays and lesbians as "the enemy," but rather is focused on preserving the institution of marriage.
Doesn't that sound a lot like the days when mixed race marriage wasn't legal? "We don't perceive black people as 'the enemy' but we focus on preserving the institution of marriage." Really what's the difference other than substituting gays for blacks?

Absolutely. And thegospels are way clearer on divorce than it is on gay marriage, for those seeking this as a divine mission to impose the dictates of scripture on the rest through rule of law.
