Reagan was pro blacklisting. Some have suggested that the reason he went into politics was that he knew after the fall of MaCarthy that he would never find work.

I'm pro-blacklisting. As it turns out, Hollywood (and New Your), and the State Deprtment were in fact full of Communists. I know some of them personally. I was IATSE once.
