The Specialized website states that the steel Allez has an integrated headset. Up close, however, it looks like it's equipped with a standard headset. Dose anyone know the truth?

I sure hope it wasn't integrated, cause I popped it out and pressed in a King! :eek: Seriously though, it isn't "integrated" it just is shaped in a way that it flows nicely into the contours of the fork crown and gives it the "integrated" look. Nice idea to get the look of integration but with the peace of mind that you can replace it. I built my cro-mo comp up from the frameset that came with the headset and I replaced it before I got the build finished. It was total junk, it always felt like I'd put maple syrup in it instead of grease. But I have spoiled myself to the ultra-smoothness of King headsets so I'm probably very biased. Good luck, and if you're considering the Cro-Mo, GOFORIT! It's an awesome riding bike, I've loved every mile on mine! :)
