I bought a Fluid 2 not too long ago and am now looking for a training video. There are so many out there I thought I would ask you which ones are your favorite. Since they cost about 30 bucks each I will with one, just to make sure I like it. Which ones do you like?

I recommend any of dvds from the series by endurance films. They include a number of workouts on each one of the DVDs and were created based on the Joel Friel training bible. The videos are made so that if you buy the series, each step up goes along with each step up you should be taking in your training. From base building to climbing and endurance, it offers a full season of training in 6 videos. You can pick them up in most bike stores and online retailers, I just happen to use the Excel cataloge as a reference.

Again, just my $.02. I have used spinervals, Carmichael, and even kung fu movies but find these to be my favorites.

I am just now learning of this Endurance DVD series. Anyone else use and like these, especially better than Spinervals or Carmichael's?
Thanks,
Jerry

What are the durations of the typical workouts? Which couple of the series do you have experience with and which would you recommend?

Anyone try the Cycleops Carmichael Climbing DVD? I've never used any training video...what are they like? Are they worth it?

Yep, I spin 2x/week with 6-7 friends, and we use both Spinervals and Carmichael TR, including the climbing DVD. I like the Carmichaels. He emphasizes recovery with high cadence spinning as much as the interval work, which results in my legs feeling better the next day. Spinervals are great, too, but now I spend a lot of time after in recovery spin a la Carmichael's approach.

I also have a CTS DVD, it's the sprint one. I really like it as well. I'm planning on going in one the full 7-pack with a friend at the shop and then sharing them but letting him keep the sprint one. They're a really good workout but be prepared to work, Carmichael is big on quality rather than quantity of training so you work HARD if you follow them exactly and get out of your "comfort zone".

I started out with Coach Troy(Spinervals) and used 4 of his dvds for a couple of years. I just received the whole CTS set for Christmas and right now I think I like them better, but I've only made it through the time trial and 2 climbing dvds so far. I will say that Carmichael is a little bland compared to Jacobson.
