it helped me last year. Every Tuesday and Thursday one of the LBS held a 'spinning class' of sorts, where we'd do a CTS DVD, I went through most of them, and they made me a lot stronger. I'm not sure how much they'd do now - hour long workouts seem very short to me now.

I have the cadence one and to be honest its not very motivating. kinda cheesy and it's not something I would suggest buying. you are better off buying a TDF video and spinning to that. perhaps some of the others a better. But the Cadence one sucks. But if you are stuck on owning one I'll sell you mine for 15 bucks shipped.

cts tapes.
go to ebay and pick up the vhs tapes. about 25 bucks for the series.
the time trial, and criterium vids will clobber you if you do them right. sprinting and climbing are ok to mix it up but i never get as tired doing them. its nice having the series so it doesn't become stagnent. sometimes the crit tape scares me. i saw they just came out with a new one. i think its called race day.
