Here is my feedback:

I just sold my 05 BMC SLT01 (Swiss Natl Champions Frame) after having it or about a season. It was hands down the coolest looking frame you can buy (I'm biased) and the engineering on it was incredible. The tubes are all shaped really funky, but it all has a purpose: To have all your pedalstroke energies translate into watts.

I loved my BMC to death, but it was not very well suited to me. I will tell you why: I am a 170 lb rider and I do not produce a ton of watts (working on it) so the incredible stiffness of the bottom bracket was just overdone for my needs. The bike was all carbon (except for the lugs) and while overall ride quality was fairly compliant, with race wheels on it you could feel everything. Not as harsh as aluminum, but not the ride quality I am looking for on 60 mile trainng rides. I just felt as though the bike was really meant for a rider that could really utilize its stiffness/power transfer qualities, maybe for crit riding or short races (40 miles). I also have too much tied up in to ($5k+) for it to be just a race day bike.

Finally, I am a road racer and just felt the bike was not all that aero, and have gone on to a LOOK and a future Orbea to meet those needs. I checked out an O7 Orca and was blow away with the smoothness (and great power transfer) of this ride. In fact, I will post a road test on that bike later today.

JAG MN,
Thanks fo the reply, I'm 6'3", 260lbs. I'm looking for a frame that would be a good fit for my size and stresses applied to the BB. I also was also going to check out a LOOK 595 Ultra, this appears to be a beautiful looking frame. Which LOOK are you going to get?
I also liked the Cervelo Soloist (aluminum) which I'm going to test ride next week. So the based on your reply the BMC SLT 01 is a pretty good frame?
