The final leg of our journey would take us from Rouses Point to the Burlington ferry that loads about 10 miles east of Ausable Chasm. It was the nicest day of the tour, and when we reached the ferry, we wished that we had time to ride for another week. It's much better to end wanting more than tired and disgusted.
The marina near Chazy's Landing between Rouses Point and Plattsburg.
Road shoulders along the whole ride were profuse with wildflowers.
There were some parklike settings, and there were some hills.
Ausable Chasm. Beautiful, but not worth the admission.
Waiting for the ferry to Burlington.
The ferry arrives.
Some other passengers were also waiting.
Crossing the lake.
Arriving at Burlington. Sunburned, windblown, but happy.
