Hi All,

I just got some Shimano PD-6610 SPD-SL pedals for Christmas. I had heard that they will fit fine on the SIDI shoes. My G3s are probably 8-10 years old. The screw pattern is correct, but it appears that the screws that come with the pedals are not long enough to thread into the shoes. Has anyone else seen this? I can go buy longer screws to fit into it, but I'm curious if the pedals were just not made to go on the old SIDI shoes. Could that also affect the angle of the cleat into the pedal (shoe angle to the pedal), etc?

Thanks,
Tim

Dunno about the pedals vs the shoes, but any hardware store should have suitable screws. If they're too long you can always cut'em off w/a hacksaw or grinder and clean up the threads on the end before installation.

Resurrecting this old thread to say I've got the same issues with a newer pair of Vittoria shoes. The Time cleats the Ultegras are replacing have a longer screw by about .25 inch, but the head is too small to work correctly with the Ultegras. I'm surprised Shimano ships these pedals with such short screws. You'd think they would include two lengths, if anything.
