Neo primato is the last of a manufactuered lugged frame. The Gios compact pro is another one one. Mr. Versatile 12-31-2006, 05:35 PM I've got 2 steel DeRosas; a Primato & a Nuovo Classico. They're both about 10 years old. The new Primato looks the same as mine, but that's all I know about it. I do know that of all the road bikes I've owned, the 2 DeRosas I have are the absolute best bikes I've ever owned. More than a few of my friends have said that I should get a new aluminum bike or CF bike that's more up-to-date that my Campy equipped 8spd DeRosas. No Thanks! I like steel frames. I've had 2 aluminum bikes...a C'dale & a Klein...won't ever own another. I've never ridden a CF bike. Nothing against them, just haven't done it. My 2 DeRosas handle like a Porsche 911 & ride like Chrysler 300, and they fit me better than some one-off custom frames I've owned. Why would I want to change from that? In short, IMO/IME DeRosas are truly great bikes. |
