On my current bike I have a full CF fork (columbus tusk). The only problem I experience while riding my trainingwheels is that the front "shims".. Conclusion: the combination wheels, fork and frame is not so stiff.. I want to change that by buying a new fork (for races I have good stiff wheels, but it bothers me that my bike shims during trainingrides also)..
I was thinking about these three forks: Look Hsc4, Easton ec90 SL and Ritchey WCS Carbon..
I like the looks of the ritchey fork, it's some cheaper than the other two, but I do want a good fork..
Easton is pretty well known to be good forks (I thought) only with the latest issues about how to instal the fork etc. I'm not so sure..
The look fork is not the newest, but Look has a very good name..

What would be your choise? And offcourse why..?
I live in Europe (Netherlands), so if you know other good options, you're welcome..

Thx,
Deoxy

Did you leave out Ouzo Pro? It is one of the best out there in terms of performance and looks. The SLX would be my second choice, as I have had a couple of those and pleased with them too. There are a lot of 2006 Ouzo Pro folks on sale rigth now so this may be a good time to pick one up for the next riding season.

I'm pondering the same question of which fork for the Strong I have on order. PricePoint and Competitivecyclist have 2006 Easton 90SL's for $200. I've ridden Reynolds Ouzo Pro's before. The price and lighter weight of SL is enticing. I'm also considering the 2007 Reynolds Pro UL at 300gm for $450.

My LBS told me that Time makes good forks, also he mentioned Deda.. They are certainly lower in price (at least Time), but does anybody have experience with either one?
On the internet I spotted the new Deda fork, it looks nice (the blackdrive)..

The only thing I worry about is the characteristics of the fork, since I havent got any experience with Deda..

The Reynolds Ouzo I left out on purpose.. I read about it here on the forum and spotted it in america, but I have never ever seen something from Reynolds in real world (Europe).. Also never seen it in European e-shops.. Because of that I concluded that it wouldn't be easy to order one for my LBS..

refund!?

Simply get a nice lightweight steel fork from a custom builder in your area.

The ouzo pro would be the way to go, the easton slx which I have used for over 2 year is way to flexy laterally. Things may be light but in the end if they flex too much then you are wasting power.

I just picked up a sweet Reynolds 753 aero bladed track fork.
They will build you a custom (spec'd out to make sure your frame geom and shoe size are taken into consideration).
Two great UK distributors:
MDT and Argos Racing

MDT also has a lot LOT lf carbon products
