Anyone have any suggestions on where to find the cheapest fluid 2?

www.modernbike.com has it for 224.95. Is there any where cheaper? Has anyone had any dealings with them good or bad?

This is my first post to the board, so if this isn't the place for this, go easy on me :)

Thanks,
George

Thanks. That's for the 06 model though. The 07 is actually quite a bit higher. I think I'm just going to try ModernBike.

Is there a diff. between '06 and '07?

It's supposed to be easier to tighten the resistance unit on the 07.

I just picked up a 2007 Fluid 2 trainer off of EBay for $224 w/free shipping, not tax. I think the same Seller has one or two left for $219 (Buy-it-Now). Don't think you can do much better, since the MSRP is $329.99, unless you try to pick up a used one.

I've got an 06 Fluid 2 and the resistance is really easy to adjust...all you do is turn a knob. Cant get any simpler. Paying a lot of extra cash for the "improved" version is silly in my opionion.

My Fluid2 is 3 years old. It's just a turn of the knob. I dunno how it could be easier?

2007 is supposed to have a larger, heavier flywheel. Don't know the specs--so I'm not sure how much bigger or larger. Price difference isn't really that big if you can get it for similar pricing...

I have an 07 and the knob is different....not better though. In fact the shop I bought it from gave me an 06 knob, along with the 07 knob...saying the 07 knob will probably break.

I went ahead and got the 07 Fluid 2 from ModernBike for 224.95 with free shipping, and I'm pretty pleased with both the product and the service. It shipped same day, and I got it three days later.

BShow - In this case, the 07 and the 06 were the same price. If it was a difference of $10 or more I probably would have gone with the 06.

Modern Bike seems to have one of the best deals around including what I saw in eBay so I went ahead and ordered the 07 from them. Shipping was 3 day to the east coast. Excellent service.
