Can anyone recommend a good Campy mechanic--someone who can do a proper steel frame prep, with the right tools, etc in or around NYC?

I've found Sid's in Manhattan (and their mechanic assures me that they can do this) but I'd like to have alternatives...

I'm willing to drive out of the city to drop off and pick up, if someone has a recommendation in New Jersey, Long Island, etc.

Thanks!

considering the sheer volume of campy bikes that go in and out of their doors, one would think that shops like sid's, conrad's, toga, R&A, and roy's sheepshead bay would all have mechanics who were more than qualified.

Thanks for the list--we're new to NYC, & having a list is a great help. I found SId's by accident, after forgetting that I had seen them in New York Magazine.

Not sure about frame prep, but the nicest bike shop workers/owner i found in NYC when i lived there was NYCVelo. Andrew (the owner) is often in the shop working (at least when I went there) and i can vouch that they do top notch adjustment on older campy (8-speed record shifter rebuild)

cool shop.
