I have ordered a couple times from pro bike kit (tires, bottle cages etc.) and have been happy with the whole buying experience from them with their free shipping and no customs fees. I was now thinking of ordering some new shoes and was wondering if I should expect to pay customs/duty fees on items that are not classified as "parts".
Thanks,
Nate

Nate,
I ordered shoes from them and they were labled "cycling accessories" on the shipping label. No customs charges were applied.

To the best of my knowledge, orders under $200 are duty free to the US (under section 321?).
If you are in Canada, expect to pay Duty and Tax.

I ordered shoes and pedals (totaling $350) and I was not charged duty. Could have just been lucky though.

Got a set of Mavic Ksyrium ES wheels from them. No duty.

I purchased a pair of shoes on Ebay from the US and had them shipped to Canada. Value was written at what I paid which was $75. customs/duties/taxes brought my delivery bill to 40 dollars. Still a good deal overall on the shoes which have a msrp of around $250 or so. Just be careful and expect to get a bill when they are delivered. Canada Post seems to be the best for that kind of thing, with UPS being the worst.
