The screen of my Ciclosport HAC4 just went blank about a week ago. I tried replacing the battery on the handelbar pickup, but to no avail. Has anyone had this problem before? Solutions?

Thanks in advance

Change the battery in the actual module, not the handlebar mount. When mine runs out of battery, the screen shuts off as well. There are four tiny screws at the corners, after a couple layers you'll get to the battery. Make sure you put the springs back in the right places, and don't lose them, they are really tiny. Good luck with it.

Had the same problem. Called the US rep. They recommended changing ALL batteries at once: 1 - in the unit; 2 - in the handlebar mount; 3 - in the sensor on the front fork; and 4 - in the chest strap/heart rate monitor. Everything went back to working beautifully
see www.hac4.com for a picture on the battery change in the unit and watch out for the internal springs - one is nearly microscopic at least to my 41 y.o. eyes. It is very easy to do and only took a few minutes. The HRM strap, handlebar unit and actual computer unit all use the same battery - CR 2032, which is very available at drug and grocery stores.

Good luck!

I just got and installed the HAC 4 today. I have to say, it's f'ing amazing. I read a lot of bad reveiws on this site and I have no idea what those people were talking about.

Sorry, but I had to share my opinion with those who know.

Totally agree. It is the first one I had that lasted for awhile, did everything I wanted, and was even worth changing the batteries.
