Hey guys, i work at a bike shop and i'm shopping around for a bike. I'm a short guy, 5'4, and we sell fuji's team's but the lowest those go are 49cm, sucks for me cause i tried 'em and they don't fit well. I have 1,500 bucks saved up and i work part time while going to college. I don't own a credit card nor do i know much about them but is there a get a bike, pay later plan that can work out? I mean at my shop, we give you 3 months to pay the money and that's no good for me.

Here's what i'm looking for but they will be expensive but as long as there is a payment plan:

Frame: C4 or higher
Drivetrain: Dura Ace it all son!
Wheels: anything light for gods sake...

there....i'v looked around but its no fun when there's no payment plan....i guess in cycling, its pay to play huh?

Right now, i ride an old trek bike (6 years old) that has the lowest of the low components, Shimano sora and deore....sucky suck shitty components that get you no where but work!

aiight later dudes

dude, you can't get a shop deal on the parts and find a frame that works used or something?

Champagne tastes on a beer budget can get a young preson in trouble.

Tell the guys in the shop what you are looking for and quite likely there will be a customer sooner or later looking to unload one cheap.

Whatever you do, don't go into debt for this.........

local shops (and maybe custom framebuilders) are likely the only ones to do a payment plan.

Personally, I'd buy a groupset on ebay (da can be had for ~$1100, but you can save serious $$ by going ultegra or even 105), buy a decent pair of wheels with the remaining $$, and build it up on your current frame. later on, you can upgrade the other components and the frame.

but i wouldn't take my word for it, seeing as i'm starting my first season of road racing on a cdale touring frame with 9spd 105/ultegra.
