Just finished another great visit to Saint Simons Island, GA and had a blast.
I know, I know... for "serious" road biking SSI gets slammed, but for casual two wheeled, ride a beach cruiser fun, SSI tops my list.
Let's review:
1) Multi-use paths pretty much anywhere there are roads.
2) Bike friendly community. Even the snow birds ride bikes.
3) Bike theft almost unheard of (still recommend locking though).
4) No hills--good if you go everywhere on a beach cruiser.
5) Beautiful Live Oaks and Spanish moss.
6) Low chance of a BUI on the MUT coming home from the Village Pub, Murphys, Brogans, Rafters, etc.
