Wow, really nice! That frame brings together all the elements that I love. Cyclocross, lugged, horizontal drops for running SS. A classic looking rig you have there that will be very verstile. Enjoy and update with pics and ride report when it's all built up!

Ira Ryan isn't really well known, everybody knows Sacha but there are a half dozen really talented builders in Portland. Most are seen at the cross races, I was stoked to see a "local guy" getting some airtime on RBR. Congrats to you Bra, Here's another for you guys to check........

That's really nice. I love that head tube badge. Let us know how you like it. What kinda tubes didya get?

I've been wanting a PDX-made custom frame since moving here. I've been eyeing Ahearne's and Ira Ryan's bikes.

The tube set was one I had bought off ebay about 2 years ago.It came with campy drop-outs which I thought was a bonus. Ira was cool enough to work with it and said the lugs were actually nice,it's NOS steel but not sure what kind.It is a little thicker and heavier but Ira said it was really fun to work with.He is an awesome person to work with, very humble and informative. You should go to his website and click on his blog.He is working on a porteur bike that looks awesome!

hey y'all, the tube set was a older columbus tubeset silver brazed into some older lugs. probably everest head tube lugs with a matching long shen seat lug. not sure about the bottom bracket but the heavier tubing walls made the silver flow soooo nice when brazing. the heart in the downtube was per mr. kirbach's request. hearts, ira ryan
