The petition at

which asks the Federal Canadian government to promote cycling as a means of transportation is currently in the wrap-up stage. The online version has approximately 3000 signatures, and the paper version, which several MEC stores across the country kindly put out for signing, will probably have about 1000 signatures by the time I pass it along to Olivia Chow to present to Parliament.
I'm just hoping to round up a couple hundred more signatures on the online version before I take it down off the web.
Briefly - the petition asks the Federal government to show initiative in promoting cycling by enacting measures such as tax cuts for cyclists and employers who assist cycling employees.
