I'm about to get the hardware out of my smashed hip and I'm thinking I'll celebrate with a new bike. I'm getting a real hankering for a 595. You guys who have Looks - whose a good, reliable, on-the-ball Look dealer?

I have not bought frames but have bought other parts from them with good results.

I know Competitive Cyclist doesn't carry them anymore, but did they return their unsold stock?

If you google a particular Look model, their website is usually the the first hit. I was wondering if they are still selling off their stock on the side but not through the storefront website?

Anyone know?

They did not return any stock to us, so I'm sure they are still selling any remaining 2006 inventory they may have. I'm not sure whether they are selling them online or through their storefront, but I would expect they still offer them online. From everything I've heard, Competitive Cyclist provides excellent service to their online customers, however the OP was interested in where he could find a 2007 595. In this case, Wrenchscience and R & A would be the two online dealers I recommend.

Thanks Chas. I've purchased a lot from Competitive Cyclist (I strongly recommend them). My question came up because they don't handle Look anymore. btw, there's no Looks in listed in their Framset Specials so I assume they've cleared out all old stock. Anyway, as you note, I'm interested in '07.

I've kind of settled on WS and R&A but thought there might be someone else I hadn't turned up.

I buy almost all my stuff from Excel.

And I'm dealing with Wrenchscience for my potential Look purchase. Main reason - I had some big concerns about the proper size and I wanted to deal with a product specialist. Which WS has.

Either one is going to work for you. R&A is not a bad alternative - I have purchased two bikes from them in the past. But my purchasing experiences with them led me to conclude I did not want to expose my personal vulnerabilty to them, relative to the fit requirements. R&A is a no-nonsense, tell us want you want and we'll ship it to you business. I needed a bit more coddling with this purchase.

I've heard others say this about R&A. Must be a NY thing. All the photo and electronic discounters I've dealt with in NY have been like that too.

I'll want to hear how you make out. I've still got a couple of months before I pull the trigger.

Watch for some photos, if I do go through with it, they'll be posted in a week or two.

I shopped around a lot before I made my purchase. Thumbs up to Wrench Science. I got a Look 585, 2007.
