I'm building up a track bike from scratch--I have a frame, handlebars, seatpost, and saddle, and now I'm working on the naughty bits.

My question, then: the frame has standard 120mm spacing. How much matching of the rear hub and bb/crank combo do I have to do to ensure that the chainline is good to perfect? After looking at different Sugino cranks, they all use different length bbs--are their chainlines the same measurement? Are track/fixed wheels usually a specific chainline?

thanks for all the help,

sandie

Most track hubs and cranks have a 42mm chainline. There are a few exceptions like Pauls hubs, but just about everyone else is 42mm. The various Sugino track/single speed cranks will also give you a 42mm chainline..

It's a 110mm rear hub.

Thanks for the info~
