I am looking to build up a CX bike and like the soft tail idea (especially since I have a bad back). Looks like KHS made one that is relatively inexpensive.
Does anyone know where I can locate one or a similiar softtail? I will keep my eye on EBay and the market place. Webcyclery has a frame only for sale.
I need a large (there is a medium in the marketplace).

Thanks for any help,
KMan

If you really want to go the soft tail route and don't want to wait ... buy the frame and then buy a full bike from Ebay or Marketplace that has the component spec you're looking for and swap it out. Then sell the spare frame on Ebay.

Perhaps someone else can chime in on the merits of the KHS soft tail design?

If you change your mind about the size, I have the Team version in a Medium... :D

it was my 3rd bike last season and built up with flat bars. i only rode it for a few laps here and there for warming up when i didn't want to get my other bikes muddy before the race. i would be willing to sell the frame/fork, or as is, or even with drop bars if that is what you want.

If it's the team version and KMan isn't interested, perhaps we could talk; I like the medium that I have, but it turned out to be a bit too small.

The only issues I've had with those KHS softtail cross bikes are 1. they're relatively heavy and 2. the component spec sucks.

Other than that, they seem like good bikes.
