both my knee caps -upper edge?- and right inner thigh muscles are almost constantly sore. still new to riding, and went on a 24 mile ride, three or four pretty steep hills, and it almost killed me. but still riding and hoping for improvement as i progress. hope this makes sense, but am worried about the area where the upper thigh muscle connects to the knees and the upper inner thigh muscle.

other more experienced people correct me if im wrong here, but I was told that back of the knee pain is caused by the saddle being too high and front knee cap pain is caused by the saddle being too low. It might be wise to play with the saddle hight a little but.

Saddle probably too high and you might need to slide the seat back just a touch too. Though it very well may be cleat posistion that is the real culprit.
