The first three stages (TTT plus two stages) of the Giro d Italia are on Sardinia this year. Anyone know a frequent poster who will be living on that island this May? Hey, it's me!!

Sometimes we are called to serve our country in extraordinary ways.

It would be disappointing to expect anything other than full coverage of all 3 days, no?

That's enough out of you. I don't care how big you are, you do not, I repeat, do not rub it in like that.

Yea, but is the food any good in Italy?

As long as they have rice, mac salad, and some kind of fried meat, I am good to go. Mac salad is pasta, right?

The problem with a Hawaiian plate lunch is that it spoils you for anything the Mainland has to offer, I suspect Italy will only add to your future problems with Bremerton culinary offerings.

Who sure could use a nice plate lunch right about now.

I've been to Sardinia, and it is really quite wonderful. And yeah, both the food and the local wines are terrific, too.

Not to mention the topless beaches.

Cool, I going to wear a Speedo. It will make me look Canadian. Or does that only work on Florida beaches?

A Speedo with a pot belly and you'll fit right in with the rest of the overweight Quebecers. I don't know about the rest of Canada, but Quebecers in tight Speedos are infamous for strolling the beaches of Florida.
