So there I was, I was presented with a great deal on some rolf vecotor pros (700 tubulars) and paid for them and now I am looking in the review section and I see that these have had some problems.......Mainly with the rear hubs and with the rims cracking. can anyone tell me what years this was a problem and how I would check to see if my new wheels are going to have problems. Cheers

In 200 and 2001 (as I recall) there were some issues with the hubs cracking, but I don't remember there being any recalls from Trek. Check the rear hub around the spokes and look for cracks there. If you see something take it to a Trek dealer and see what they can do for them. Rolf wont be of any help since they are really Trek wheels.
I have a pair of Vector Pros for like 6 years now and have ridden the crap out of them. Aside from a broken spoke, they have run flawlessly. They cut the wind like a hot knife through butter. I have never had to true them or anything.
I have a big problem now though. I have an itch to buy some new wheels and I don't know if I will find another wheel set that will perform as well as these have. The Vigor RS's look nice but Rolf doesn't seem to be in many shops these days. I'm not sure what I will do.
Bottom line, look at the hubs. If they look OK, ride them. You will like them a lot.
