Anyone want to part with a single long reach (47 - 57mm) brake caliper? Would really prefer older recycled parts on the ride I am putting together, instead of new shiny bits.
thanks

A well-established (or old if you prefer) LBS will probably have some extra calipers hanging around. If they don't, see if you can't find a bike at a thrift store that has cheap bikes--one of those bikes might have calipers on it. Still, the LBS is your best bet for it. If you don't mind spending a few bucks, chucksbikes.com has long reach calipers, I think.

They have long reach brakes for sale individually either nutted or recessed bolt - but they are new dual pivots - I think they're $35 or so for each caliper.
I found a set of Shimano 600 (pre-600 Ultegra) long reach sidepulls on ebay recently. I'd try there first, and if there's nothing there you like, there's always Harris.
Nashbar used to carry them last time I checked
