My hunt for a wheel up grade continues.I feel that as a good all round wheel ,my old model Eurus are hard to beat even now.I am looking for a special wheel for that special ride an occaisonal tri and a day in the hills .Obviously there will still need to be compromise but the Reynolds medium depth wheels seem close to an ideal compromise .There is a new version the mv32 in both clincher and tubular ,
My questions are
1 reliability -particularly as i am a big guy 90 kg<200 lbs>
2 previous model the cirro mid, some seem to begoing quite cheap ,are there issues with previous model hubs/spokes as they seem to be using same rims for years but change all the other components
3 i know the stratus has been well reviewed but alot of rides by the beach with strong cross winds so rather go slightly lower profile
Other wheels considered are the Campagnolo Hyperon tubular ,seem great but costly and lower profile mean less suited for occ tri
Bontrager xxx tubular ,dont like appearance but still a possibility

I have the MV32 T.

I am ( sadly) 190 lbs and have no issues.

They are pretty new on the market to be getting meaningful feedback on reliability.

Having been out in some winds and feeling the effect on a mid-V, I can understand your not wanting to go Deep-V.
