Hey guys, I currently have the Alex 200 wheels on my Fuji Roubaix Pro. My LBS has a set of the Vuelta wheels w/Shimano hubs. You think this would be an upgrade? Also, which ones are lighter?
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks According to their respective websites: Alex 200 - 1980g Vuelta Starlite - 1920g or 1850g depending on model. While distinctive looking I don't think the Vueltas are necessarily an upgrade. fujiguy 03-18-2007, 05:49 AM According to their respective websites: Alex 200 - 1980g Vuelta Starlite - 1920g or 1850g depending on model. While distinctive looking I don't think the Vueltas are necessarily an upgrade. Yeah, it looks like you might be right. My friend got them for his Fuji Newest 1.0, which is a $900 entry level bike with Tiagra components. He's a heavy rider and was busting spokes left and right and put the Vuelts wheels on. He says they made a big difference and their real strong. For his bike it probably was an upgrade, but for my bike, It probably won't be. I would still like see more input on this. |
