I had never heard of Vuelta wheels before and i was wondering if anybody who had them could tell me if they are any good. I am looking at the StarLite ALs. I am not a heavy rider, so busting spokes is not a problem, but I do ride on some rough roads in the Long Island area. Thanks for your help.

I haven't had a chance to ride them yet, but my Starlites just showed up Friday. They are true, and the rims look nice. The hubs aren't nearly as smooth as the American Classic in my other wheelset, but not bad either. I intend to use them for training wheels and think they'll do fine. If you knock off the $70+ for the pro 2 race tires it's hard to find a wheelset at all for that price. Also, the wheels come with several extra spokes, which can be tightened and adjusted with a normal spoke wrench.

I assume you are looking at Nashbar, they have a 10% off code today (RIDE28), and the last catelog had a 15% off. Mine arrived 3 days after order using ground USPS shipping.

So, no ride experience, but having touched them they look pretty good.

Edit: I just noticed a few threads down someone has posted real experience with these: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=89166
