Hey,

I was talking to a guy yesterday and he mentioned a product that you can put inside a steel bike frame that will help keep water condensation down. I can't remember the name of the product now...I'm currently getting my steel 1990 Clark Kent frame powder coated, and want the thing to last a lot longer. Can anyone give me the name of the stuff that I'm looking for?

I assume he was talking about Frame Saver, which is rust-proofing or inhibiting product that you spray inside bike tubes.

JP Weigle Frame Saver - also I heard of another product called Boeshield being used for this purpose.

In addition to Frame Saver, most any oil will work. I've sprayed in WD-40 and TriFlow. All you need is an oil coating on the inside of the tubes.

I am NOT the WD-40 police but I can say from personal experience that the stuff is a very poor rust preventative.
