Hi All,

First time poster. I just wanted to announce my first commute on a road/cross bike happens tomorrow and I am pumped. Previous commuting done on a hybrid-style bike.

Nothing breathtaking about an 8 mile-per-way jaunt in Pittsburgh, but I'm really psyched to put the new Poprad (06 w/cantis) through its paces.

I've been lurking on this site for a while now and am grateful for all your collective experience.

Thanks

Pittsburgh=hills right?

Have fun (and no one would mind if you took and posted a few photos)!

I am sure you will get truckloads more babes while commuting on the Poprad, whatever that is. Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words folks! This morning's ride in was great; my new cross bike with road tires really zipped down the hills (It's during the ride home that I'll be huffing and puffing up some serious Pittsburgh hills).

I must say that the lower body position on this bike will take some getting used to, as will its maneuverability. The finest input from my hands, or a slight lean of my body gets this bike turned in a different direction. Until I get used to this degree of sensitivity, I'll be working on keeping my hands on the bike and not a camera.
