Was wondering if anyone can give some information on it. Thanks... My wife saw the back cover before I did and informed me that if I even thought about buying another bike that I might have to press assault charges against her. It is $250 more than I paid for my last bike ('04 Fuji Cross), but I've just ordered Velomax Sagitta wheels to replace the originals from my Fuji (Ritchey Aero). That set me back $400 and I've replaced the crank/BB with an FSA Compact crank and Ultegra BB ($200). The Douglas is a great deal with the Ultegra and FSA drive train/brakes. Oddly, it says it comes with the FSA Gossmer Cross Crank, but the picture shows it with (I believe) a compact crank. I have an '02 Douglas Fusion and I am very happy with it (4500 miles on it so far), I've also purchased an '02 Tomac 98 Special from CC. They've been a great company to deal with and I've been happy with their stuff. I'm not sure you can go wrong with it, but you will be explaining to other cyclists what the Douglas brand is. I ride with two other guys that have purchased bikes from CC (Douglas Vector and Litespeed Atlas) and they've been happy with the service. Good luck Thor KMan 07-02-2004, 10:20 AM I was looking for it, spec's and price. But I cannot find it? Kman Saw that Colorado Cyclist is selling a Douglas Project Cross bike. Kman Sorry, I've only seen it in their catalog. It is $1300 and the specs are: Ultegra, FSA crank, Avid shorty-6 brakes, Velomax Sagitta wheels, Ritchey bar, step, post, tires, Douglas saddle, AL frame and fork, disc ready. They say it is firebrick red, but it looks burnt orange. No pedals. |
