I saw Clark Natwick at the recent Ronde van Brisbeen race (road) here in NorCal, and he had a really cool bike with him.

It was his "A" bike, custom built by Keith Bontrager, that he raced in the '80s. It's been to multiple world championships. He warned me that it's not spec-ed now as it was when he was racing. It was lent out, put to various other uses in the interim so there's quite a bit that's not stock. (Bar would have been much lower, for instance.) But some items are pretty close to what he raced, like the 30mm Vittoria tubulars, the Lyotard quill pedals, and the very trick prototype Bontrager fork. Anyway, cool bike. You can see larger pictures if you click the full-size links.

If you've got questions about it I can pass them on to Clark. He coaches here, I get a training plan from him.

I have a picture from the 1987 nationals in Scotts Valley that have him in it. I will scan it in and share it too.

Edit: I trided scanning it, but it is a very old photo that wont scan well. The frame in the picture is indeed the same bike but he wasn't using aero levers, and the downtube sticker had blue lettering.

Here is the best I could do with my scanner. It is horrible. I was racing as a junior the year of this picture. Clark was my total hero. He would show up to the Surf City Cyclocross races and just destroy the whole field.

That's cool!
