Well after my most recent accident, and given that i've about 2 months till this collarbone is good, i need a new fork. I previously had a Winwood Dusty fork, but am in the market again. Im debating between the Easton EC90X, the Alpha Q Carbon Cross, Ritchey WCS, and another Winwood. Any thoughts? Any other choices i should consider? I use Canti's, and would prefer no disk mounts for a cleaner look.

Thanks guys!

Can't go wrong with the first 3 you mentioned. I would stay well away from the Winwoods. I have know several guys locally that ran then and could NEVER get them to stop chattering. The older stock Giant forks were winwood as well, same issues. Personally I would run a good steel or Alu fork before a winwood, and the weights are surprisingly similar and cheeper too!

I just ordered a WCS on my team deal and am stocked about it. Easton and Alpha are killer too.

is this the same b-rad from str? i post there are singlesspeedster.

hope the collarbone is healing well.

i have ran an alpha q in the past. i bought it off some in these forums. i replaced it when i found a cracked steerer (i bought it in practically new condition) after only about 6 mpnths pf use...no more carbon fork for me.

right now, i run a steel kelly fork. i bought it off ebay when Chris Kelly was blowing them out for $100. you can find them on ebay for about $150 now and i think it is still a VERY good deal. it rides great, has classy looks, reasonable light and can be had at a very good price.

for what it's worth....i am about 170 pounds and ride my cx bike like i stole it.

Yeah, same one! Thanks man, but im more concerned about the bike!:cryin: Ive done worse to myself, but that JTS was my baby!! Eventually ill post pics of the fork carnage on STR.

Anyways, the reason i mentioned the ones i did were because i can ProDeal them, but I really like that Wound Up. Dont know how i could have forgotten that one...

Oh, forgot to add the Reynold Ouzo pro.

Kam, sorry to hear that the fork I sold you broke. B-Rad what kind of frame will it be matched to?

I run a Ritchey WCS and couldn't be happier. It's much more comfy than the aluminum Redline fork on my pit bike.

how light do you want your fork to be?

how many of you have had problems with strength in carbon forks, I've heard more problems with the steer tube failing than the legs themselves. I have money set aside for either the alpha q or reynolds. any suggestions
