I am an advertising student at FAU right now im working on creating an advertisement for Raleigh RX 1.0 bicycle. I was wondering if anyone could help me by giving me their opinions about The Raleigh rx 1.0 bicycle or what exactly you look for when purchasing a cyclocross bicycle. Also I am going to create a little survey. If you are interested in taking it please let me know. I want to make sure no one gets offended or bothered by it before i try to post it.
Thanks

I'd take the survey...as far as the RX 1.0, have no clue, never seen one or ridden one.

First, is the bike a "real" cyclocross bike? What I mean by that is could I take it from the showroom and race it. Some considerations are cable routing (top of the top tube? what about the front derailleur cable routing?) and geometry. What is the parts spec?
I took a look at the Raleigh and here are some of my thoughts:
1) I like the full carbon Easton fork. Coupled with a decent frame, that's a good starting place for a race bike.
2) The wheels suck. Heavy Alex rims and no-name hubs. I'm picky about wheels anyway and would have replaced them regardless.
3) Tiagra parts are at the low end. However, they work and can be replaced as they wear out.
4) Front derailleur cable is routed along the down tube and other cables are routed on the top of the top tube. That's what Redline does witht he Conquest bikes. It's okay but not hardcore cross.
5) The geometry is kind of small. The biggest bike they offer has a 58 top tube and a 57 seat tube. Also, my preferences for size fall between two sizes so I wouldn't fit one of the offered sizes.
6) Brakes and other components are on the low end.
