Given the vagaries of my Polar 720 (electrical interference, stopping in the middle of rides, etc.), the numbers may not be wholly accurate. But, I try to correct any problems when I download. So, the numbers are close enough.

Here's the good part: even thought I did a 500 mile week at the Pedal the Peaks last year in June, my mileage YTD is still 200+ miles ahead of last year. Maybe adding 4 or 5 centuries this year plus not being bike-less for three weeks has something to do with it. July should be a good month: A 80+ miler this Sunday plus back to back centuries next weekend. So with other rides, I should be at nearly 400 miles for the month by the 11th!

June was tiresome. Now that I can say I've done 1000+, I don't think I'll try it again.

That is, if you said what I think you said. Unless you said something else in which case the heck with you ;-)

BTW, I really have no idea how far we have ridden this year, something more than 10 miles I guess.

I'm not kidding about the 4999.9. That's what my log said. Had I known, I would have done another lap around the parking lot. :)

I don't worship the numbers during the ride. But afterwards, I like to know how far I've gone.

I too should have ridden around the parking lot a couple of times...

June elevation gain = 75,810' Year total = 308,390'. I guess retirement is OK. But I'm starting a new part time job just for fun, so mileage will probably drop off. My daughter is out of school also, so it's still hard to find time to ride!

Excellent weather in June, though I did endure one wet century ride.

I was gone at a conference for nearly 15 days in June and did bring a bike
but was only able to ride one day. Grumble. I'll make up for it now though
since my job was outsourced last tuesday. Whee. Already went for a ride
this morning with the wife and will go for another after I bring the cat to the
vet for a haircut / shots (it will love that).

June 2004 is the first I actually rode just about every day, with an average ride of 21 miles. I did 511.84 this month, which is far and away my best. In fact, my year-to-date road milage is only 570 miles. I didn't break out the road bike until mid May this year.

I don't have a computer on my Mountain Bikes, so I have no idea how many miles I had from Jan to Mid-May when I switched to Road biking.

My goal for this month is 600 miles.

Bought a sweet Gunnar Hot Dog from ebay as my 'travel' bike, now I can ride/race while on the road (I travel 200+ days a year). 240 of these miles were on the Gunnar. I think I might like it better than the Steelman (say it ain't so!)

June = 782mi, 37000ft vert.
YTD = 2072mi, 99400ft vert.

I got sick the other week and was off the bike for a whole week so mileage and training time this month were low :(

June 816.6 YTD 2682.15.

Personal bests for distance average speed and average ride. Beat previous month and preiosu best by 8 miles. Eclipsed previous years totals in June. Last year didn't start riding until the end of June, so it's all gravy from here.

Lost 45 lbs since getting on the bike in February. Added to last years drop of 40. I almost down to Bob Roll size.
