Riding an Italian-made bike does that to you.

YES. I'm getting really tired of this. Most of my rides have been on the cruiser bike with my daughter. Road rides have been less than a handfull and usually with terrible wind.

The foot that should arrive tomorrow is the icing on the cake. Nothing like taking a bad week and then messing up the roads for the weekend. I'm doubting the shoulders will be clear enough on Sunday for a decent ride.:(

I WANT SUMMER ! NOW !

LOL! After 9/11 my husband had to wait 4 months to get a bicycle pass to be able to ride his bike onto the premises at work. Turned out "Security" was worried that the bike tubes could be stuffed with explosives.

This was for his 1986 Columbus SL tubed Somec. Now who in their right mind would stuff explosives into a bike with a fade paint job like this?!?! :D

How much explosive can be stuffed into a bike frame and how much can be stuffed into an SUV frame?

in the lengthy and very humorous discussion between those Colnago forum guys. Are all guys who ride Colnagos that polite?

I can tell you this: I terrorise the roads and bike paths all the time on a De Rosa. I've committed terrorist acts on that bike for over 20 years. It--and me--have survived 4 or 5 crashes. It's still riding as aggressively as it did the day I bought it. I may try the latest carbon wonderbike, but so far I haven't found the desire, and I have no intention of ever retiring my package of dynamite. The only thing I've had to do with that bike, ostensibly one of the last brazed by the Master himself in 1984, is tighten the spokes on the wheels.

So next time you see some guy pass you like you were standing still on a blue DeRosa with a hint of metalflake in the paint, don't even try to catch the guy. I'll smoke you, especially if you're on a Colnago! It'll hurt so much, you won't recover in a week.

"Fascismo." Well "machismo" is an Italian word, right? They put it in their bikes! Is that Mario Cipollini in you avatar? He illustrated machismo. Too bad he had to ride Cannondales!

I suppose the pouting Mussolini illustrated both!

It's actually Richard Groenendaal saluting Sven 'may I buy a vowel' Nys, He obviously is like Austin Powers and doesn't like the dutch either. Easy to confuse him with Cipo though. All white guys do look the same to me.
