The cow wasn't where she was supposed to be this AM... she escaped somewhere into the vineyard! Jumped on my bike and went to chase her down and get her back in.

Found her in the vines. She's a bad girl- always seems to be my type.

And all's well that ends well. My steed alongside the corral.

that's a great pictorial. I have a Boston Terrier and he's a bad boy. Before I trained him to come to a whistle and an awaiting treat, I'd have to chase him down and herd him back on my CX bike. Cross bikes, so many uses.

Glad that training went well. Ours has allergies right now and is snoring up a storm. I've gotten zero sleep, its funny how much gunk is around her eyes in the morning. She's oblivious to how much noise such a little nose can make.

Great pics.

Great use of a cross bike. Can you throw a lasso while riding?

Looks like a nice vineyard too - do you make wine?

Thanks all for nice words on pics. Don't think I could manage a rope - too busy dodging all the stones and stickers. At any rate, this is my friend's place which I've been taking care of since February while he and his lady have been out of town. Fetching the mail, feeding the cow, etc. What he does is grow and sell his grapes to wineries who then kick a little bit of wine they make from his grapes back to him each year. He doesn't make wine hisself, but nonetheless his glass is always full. Mine too.

Buy some of this for the cow, she will come running to you like a hungry dog who hasn't seen her daddy all day. No need to chase cows they will follow you anywhere. I made the mistake of feeding this stuff to the cows and now if they spot me from a mile away they run at me like the cats on a Meow Mix ad. I can't sneak into the ranch to work on the water tank. I can't ride my bike at the ranch anymore. It's like crack for cows I guess.

Nice to see a CX bike on that kind of terrain. I come here as someone who only has a MTB, but is seriously looking in the CX direction because I like the dirt/gravel roads a lot more than the singletracks. The roads here in NW Arkansas, however, look a lot like the ground you're on in the first pic. Nice to see one in action on terrain where the one I eventually get will be ridden on the most.

No, Santa Fe is getting hit, but we're just getting a few flurries. It sounds ugly above 7,500 feet; I bet they close Raton Pass this afternoon. That'll be good, we want to keep those Colorado people out of here!

Been a long dream of mine to ride the NM section of the Great Divide, on a crosser of course. :D
