I came across a ti road frame that had never been build up. No lables so I can't tell you who made it. Looked quite nice so I picked it up. I'm in the process of building it up and I'm stumped by a bottom bracket issue.
The diameter of a standard bottom bracket is about 1 mil to small. I measured the opening at 35 mil and the diameter of the standard chorus bottem bracket is 34 mil. I have not heard of an oversized bottom bracket ... any thoughts?
measure the width of the shell.
If it's 70mm it's Italian threading and will be a bit larger diameter than the 68mm wide English type BBs.
My guess would be that it's an Italian shell

Thanks, I'm sure that is it. I did not realize itialian threaded bb had a slightly larger diameter.

In most places, the term "mil" in in reference to thousandths of an inch. I assume that you are referring to millimeters, which, around the world, is abbreviated "mm"
Italian BBs are 36 mm diameter, English BBs are 1.37 inches, French and Swiss BBs (hardly made any more) are 35 mm.
