This was a great year. The interest in cycling in my family is growing. Not only did my wife and 3 year old son go, but my parents went as well. My father has been following cycling for several years, starting with the Lance years. They did not have an interest when I was on my HS cycling team in the 80's but better late than never. SInce my father retired he and my mother have started riding. My father actually wore out his first bike, a Trek cruiser and is now on a Gary Fisher gears comfort bike. We even ride together when I visit them in Chattanooga, usually just the MUT from Chatt State to Downtown or at the Battlefield.

My 3 1/2 year old son rang a cowbell for hours as the race past and really enjoyed the fountains at the Aquarium and the Mrs. Packman at Lupi's.
