I'm not sure the geometry is as custom as you may think. FatTireFred 05-03-2007, 04:51 AM You may want to look into what exactly they mean by "custom" in regards to the carbon frames. "Top tube lengths, head tube lengths and head tube angles can be customized for optimal fit and performance." big Kat 05-06-2007, 04:14 AM They can do custom monoque or custom tube frames. I own a Guru veloci'ti. The I have seen then cutting the carbon for the Geneo and the frame can be had as true custom. Plus hey have been ahead of this new trend to produce different stiffness of frame. The can do custom layup for weight up to 275 lbs. The tri world has know about them for a long time. Steve-O 05-06-2007, 05:29 PM I've got a Guru Veloci'ti as well. This bike's got about 13K miles on it and I haven't gotten tired of it. It's served as a daily commuter, climbed mountain passes and raced crits on all on the same bike. The geometry is very stable with a slightly shorter top tube which fits me nicely. I met the Guru guys down at Interbike last year; good people and cool to deal with as a direct consumer. They seem very technology focused with ALL of their frame materials. Kind of reminds me of Litespeed but not locked into just titanium... climbandcycle 05-07-2007, 06:10 PM I have owned a Guru Racelite since Sep/Oct and I have been really happy with it (4000 miles or so). I'm really surprised I don't see many other people on them, I mean, they do custom paint too. They are more popular in the triathlon scene, but even there, they are pretty rare. CTinCT 05-08-2007, 08:45 PM A few weeks ago I bought a Guru Flite as a "bad weather" bike. It rides fine and is a pleasure to look at. I would let the guy that painted this bike paint my Ferrari. If only I had a Ferrari........ |
