Who will wear the maglia rosa since the team trail is the first leg of the race? The Captian? The rider w/ the best result from previous Giro?

First rider across the line from the team that wins the stage.

Will there be a sprint, last 200 meters, among the teamates? Or will they even care who gets it?

I think teams often designate who will get it if they have time or decided before the stage, or if they're really gassing it probably just about who gets over the line first. It would be bad form to obviously sprint against your teammates, not that in the absense of some set decision a rider might just excellerate a bit to cross the line first :)

Ok, so if that answers the question about who gets to wear the ROSA...
Isn't there a jersey in the Giro for the guy in LAST place as well???
I can't remember the color ... it's a darker, almost burgundy color right???
So, how do they determine who gets that after this TTT???

I don't think there is a Lanterne Rouge jersey... not anymore, but I could be wrong.

Thats the one... Thanks Dan.
Any idea who WOULD be wearing it after the TTT or at least the process by which they would have handed it out?

There is no jersey for this but it is common for riders to get dropped from their team and in that case they just get whatever time they record when they cross the line, as if they were riding an individual TT. So there will be a definitive last place.

they only start giving out green and polka dots after the first stage, not prologue, right? and is the TTT considered a prologue or stage this year?

Looks like there are no categorized climbs on stage 1 but there are time bonuses at the finish(?). Probably give the jerseys to 2nd and 3rd place riders. Sponsors usually pay for these jerseys so I'm sure they like to have them out there if at all possible.

There was a black jersey handed out to the last place rider on GC in the Giro in the past (I can't recall when), and apparently there were some riders who took that up as a serious quest...too bad you'd be hard pressed to find a sponsor these days who would put money up for it.
