How cool is that?! Can he hold it?

Horner took 15 seconds out of Salvodelli, which puts him up by 10". He'll need to ride an inspired TT tomorrow to hold it. Still a great result.

Nice to see; no he can't hold it.

I'll be rooting for him though.

The preliminary news reports make it sound epic. Big hills, lots of rain, a group of four ride away from the peleton, Horner on the podium.

Cadel evans took fifth, for seventh overall at 31". A nice showing by the two Lotto guys during the whole race so far.

I'll be pulling for Horner, although even he is poormouthing his chances. His enthusiasm is infectious, and as he showed today, on the right day he can ride with the best.

That was pretty epic. Reminded me of the day Heras won on the Angliru.
Crazy rain pouring down.

Mazzoleni was magnificent in support of Savoldelli. He singlehandedly shelled about three-quarters of that group from about 12km out.

Great stage today.

Dave Z is lurking at 19 about 2 minutes back. A boatload of time to make up in 35k or whatever the last stage is, but with it ending in a TT....you never know.

not possible over 20k. Even if he could over haul Honer (very unlikly) there are several good TTrs in front of him that he could not.

Methinks Horner might get beat today in the TT, but not by Zabriskie. More likely, as Horner said, Dekker. Although Horner has been, and probably still is, a decent time trial rider. Not the best, but he could ride a pretty good one in his day. It would be sweet to see him take the race overall though. I'm a fan.

It's funny when you step back and look at us talk about Chris Horner's TT ability. Even condsidering he isn't a "great" TT rider these days, he would put a thrashing of epic proportions on all of us armchair cyclists :D

And Dekker wins it.

Horner still put in a pretty good ride, avg speed of 44.47km/h (27.63 mph for us Yankees).
